End-of-Chapter Goodies
Here's a very close look at the end-of-chapter subheads.
If you think they look like Web graphics, thank you. You are a very perceptive and intelligent person.
I designed the icons in Photoshop, spherizing the purple dingbats and adding shadows and highlights. They're saved in TIF format and placed as small inline graphics in PageMaker. The rules and type, however, are live text in the PageMaker document, assigned the
"A head" paragraph style. This little trick makes life easier when we need to export the edited, proofread, and corrected text file as a Word document for the author. No doubt Jim will need it to start work on the second edition.
